Pomalidomide

Pomalidomide is used together with dexamethasone for the treatment of multiple myeloma (cancer of the blood) in patients who have received at least two other medicines that didn’t work well. This medicine is used in patients with multiple myeloma that has gotten worse during treatment or within 60 days of the last treatment.

It intermeddles with the growth of multiple myeloma cells, which are finally destroyed in the body. Pomalidomide is a antineoplastic (cancer medication). Pomalidomide is used for the treatment of AIDS-associated Kaposi sarcoma in patients who have received highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) that didn’t work well.

This medicine is also used to treat Kaposi sarcoma in patients who don’t have HIV infection (HIV-negative).
