Mycophenolate-Mofetil
Mycophenolate-Mofetil belongs to the group of medicines also known as immunosuppressive agents. It is used with other medicines (for example, cyclosporine, steroid medicine) to lower the body’s natural immunity in patients who receive organ transplants (for example, kidney, heart, or liver).
When a patient receives an organ transplant, the body’s white blood cells will attempt to get rid of (reject) the transplanted organ. Mycophenolate blocks the white blood cells from rejecting the transplanted organ. This medication is only available under the prescription of your doctor.
